Is it even fair to be putting an ad from a luxury clothing brand against another from an East London city shopping center? Well, I’ll let you be the judge.
Westfield Stratford City
Westfield is opening up a new shopping centre this month. To celebrate the big opening, the city produced this ad that showcases 100 years of dress (and dance) in East London.
This is pretty darn awesome, especially coming from a city shopping centre. Word on the street is this video was filmed over 4 days at various locations around East London. Good job Westfield Stratford on producing an online campaign with a lot of like-abilty.
LANVIN Paris
Lanvin’s new campaign movie for its fall 2011 clothing line is quite unusual for an luxury brand. Is it a music video of models dancing or a catwalk of dancers modeling amazing clothes? It’s all part of the mystery.
I don’t know if I’ve ever seen more uncomfortable dancing…ever. The awkward humour created by this video is what forms its unique connection with not only the fashion victims but all viewers. And hey, the clothes do look pretty great, don’t they?
MY WINNER: LANVIN Paris, the most powerful aspect of an online campaigns is its ability to go viral. Lanvin wins this slam with superior viral-bility
